LAURA DE GRINYO
Raised in Ibiza, I am the artist and designer behind LADIO.

My studio remains on the island, immersed in a Mediterranean natural environment that continues to shape my work.

My practice moves between ceramic tradition and contemporary design, bringing ancient techniques into a modern sculptural and functional language.

Working with clay revealed to me the four elements - earth, water, air, and fire - through an intimate, physical, and emotional process.

Over time, I began to perceive each piece as a living body with its own vibration and inner voice.

My early studies in music shaped the way I listen to matter and perceive rhythm, space, and sound.

For the past four years I have been dedicated to playing the Theremin (an early electronic instrument played without physical contact, through electromagnetic fields). 

This practice transformed my relationship with sound into something physical and spatial.

From this intuition, sound and clay began to merge naturally in my work.

My recent works are sound sculptures activated through breath, creating an intimate one-to-one relationship between the body and sound.

Although conceived for personal activation, these works can also be performed in concerts and collective sound experiences.

In 2025, FORM AND SPIRIT, my first solo exhibition of sound sculptures, will be presented at Parra & Romero.

Alongside my sculptural work, I maintain an active relationship with the world of interior design through bespoke commissions.

I create unique, made-to-measure pieces that are fully functional and conceived to integrate seamlessly into the spaces they inhabit.

To date I have collaborated with clients including Isita Home, Loewe, Sabina Ibiza, Studio C, Noelle Bartsman, Mari Raidal, Michael Kors, and private collectors.

My work has been featured in international publications including AD España, Financial Times HTSI, Arquitectura y Diseño, El País Semanal, Vanity Fair Italia, Manera Magazine, Vogue Living, Hola Living, Monocle, Elle USA Interior and Vogue Spain.

My pieces have been exhibited across Europe in London, Milan, Madrid, Paris, Geneva and Ibiza.
